Bellevue office of Parametrix, Inc. He was a former air pollution engineer for the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, and earlier for the Washington Department of Ecology. Heald
Engineering
College . Alan says, “Protect the environment; keep it simple; make it happen” and, of course, “Ride free“. --[Here is a Picture of Alan's famous Motorcycle ( 190 K download )]

Greg Lipnicky, Board Position #1 (2009 – 2012)
Greg is an Environmental Engineer and Qualified Source Testing Individual (QSTI) with TRC’s
Woodinville, WA office. Since his graduation with a bachelor of science in environmental engineering from Montana Tech in May of 2000, Greg has worked as a source emissions tester (AKA stack monkey) in the
Seattle area. Greg blames PNWIS for this happening as a PNWIS conference in
Portland, OR was where he met his first employer. Greg has had on and off involvement with PNWIS since his first senior year at Montana Tech (1998) and has helped with or presented at a handful of PNWIS conferences or spring specialty conferences in that time. This is Greg’s first time serving in any type of board position. Greg devotes most of his spare time to his family (mostly his daughter, and sometime PNWIS meeting attendee, Sammy) but also enjoys hiking and is an avid and devoted Seahawks fan.
Stephanie Meyn, Board Position #2 (2009 - 2012)
The Program Manager of the Puget Sound Clean Cities Coalition, this Canadian import is a former member of the BC & Yukon Chapter board and a long time contributor to the activities of the Section. She has over 8 years' experience in the air quality field, working as an air quality meteorologist for Levelton Engineering, the British Columbia Ministry of Environment, and Environment Canada. Stephanie has an M.Sc. in Atmospheric Science and a B.Sc. in Natural Resources Management. Now that she is working in Seattle, she has an unusual desire to participate in ribbon cutting ceremonies with over-sized giant scissors. Canadians, for safety reasons, are deprived of these opportunities, so she's got some catching up to do.
Daniel Burgard, PhD, Board Position #3 (2010-2013)
Dan is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and an affiliate member of the Environmental Policy and Decision Making minor at the
University of
Puget Sound in
Tacoma , WA. Dan has a PhD in chemistry from the
University of
Denver and a BA in Chemistry from
Colorado
College . His research is primarily focused on measuring vehicle emissions by remote sensing although he dabbles in measuring trace levels of pharmaceuticals in wastewater. Initially focused on on-road vehicles, his remote sensor is now pointed towards marine vessel emissions. When not in lab or in the field, Dan can be found on the basketball court, soccer pitch, ice rink or on telemark skis.
Thomas Rauen, Board Position #4 (2010-2013)
Tom is an Environmental Engineer with the Boeing Company in
Seattle . He has 19 years experience in the environmental field and has focused on air quality for the past 10 years. His current work includes air emission and greenhouse gas inventories, regulatory reviews, and

Kansas as a chemical engineer. In her free time, she enjoys designing and making jewelry, traveling, and being at peace with the knowledge that the KU Jayhawks are actually the best men's basketball team and that
Memphis may soon learn that as well.

Jeromy Adams is an Environmental Engineers with Nucor Steel Seattle, Inc. His experience in the environmental field includes hazardous and non-hazardous waste reuse, recycle, and disposal management, ISO program development and certification, and project management. Washington
State
University . When he’s not trying to reduce the environmental footprint of the steel operations he likes to spend his time playing on and under the water.
